One of the main attractions for us is that Electroneum (ETN) can be mined on your phone. That in itself is a buzz to the thousands of coin and currency owners who have heard about mining but have no idea how to actually get started, a quick Google will bring you lots of cloud mining sites and links to eBay (don't do it folks) aswell as hardware sites selling mining rigs at huge prices.
The truth of the matter with mining, in the case of Bitcoin, it was great to start with but then difficulty increased and mining for a decent return nowadays often costs you more that you get back, of course it is still a viable way to make coin, but electricity costs alone can sky rocket and eat best part of your mined profit.
Why will Electroneum be different?
To begin with, and due to the massive interest in ETN, we expect that the majority of buyers will be jumping into the mining, having already checked out their Android app, on a Zoomtak V+ Android box - it is easy to install and set up and will appeal to the masses, of course you don't eve n need a box, you can use your phone, quite how this will affect battery and data consumption is to be looked at nearer the time.
So lets say we have unlimited Data on our phone, we can say that you a can mine 24 hours a day 365 days a year, you can check your progress without logging into complicated hardware profiles and you can day to day see your profits. This is whats good about mobile mining as we would call it.
What about profits? Let's not predict how much ETN you can mine per day, it isn't released as yet and the first two weeks will see a lot of investors selling to make a quick profit (if it is profitable at launch of course) We recommend you HODL* and see where this currency takes you.
Mining coins can be great fun, we recommend you don't take it too serious and never invest more than you can afford into anything, let alone a crypto currency, volatility can scare the life out of you one day then have you doing cart wheels the next.
Electroneum already has the Android Mining app available, and promise to have the iOS ready shortly after launch, Apple need to see the coin is released prior to accepting their app, you will of course be able to mine on your desktop and MAC.
